ENTRY LIMIT & APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • Participants are encouraged to match the theme of America 250.
  • Parade entries are limited to ninety (90) entries.
  • Applications will be accepted until capacity is reached or until June 26, 2026, whichever occurs first.

PARADE DATE & START TIME

  •  Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. sharp

LINEUP TIME

  • All entries must be in position no later than 8:00 a.m.

ENTRY FEES

  • Nonprofit organizations and civic groups: No fee
  • Business entries: $125 per entry

POLITICAL ENTRIES PROHIBITED

Parade entries may not:

  • Advocate for or against the election or reelection of any candidate for public office;
  • Advocate for or against any political party;
  • Advocate for or against any political issue or ballot proposition;
  • Distribute campaign materials, collect petition signatures, or engage in political fundraising.

This restriction applies equally to all entries regardless of viewpoint and is intended to preserve the Parade’s non-political, community-focused purpose.

AGE REQUIREMENT

  • Participants must be thirteen (13) to walk or march in the parade.

NO THROWING ITEMS TO SPECTATORS

  • No items may be thrown, tossed, or dropped from any float or vehicle.

Items such as candy or promotional materials may only be handed directly to spectators by designated walkers who:

  • Walk along the curbside next to their float or vehicle
  • Remain outside of the travel lane at all times
  • Hand items directly to spectators (no tossing)
  • Do not approach or return to the float or vehicle once the parade begins
  • Walkers must carry the items they distribute. A non-motorized wagon may be used to assist with supplies.

PARADE RULES, RELEASE, AND WAIVER

  • Reserving a spot along the parade route on public property is not allowed prior to 6:00 PM three days prior to the parade (Wednesday, July 13). Reserving a spot on private property without a property owner’s permission is never permitted.
  • Obstruction of public sidewalks, paved streets, or private drives is prohibited. Any position that is deemed unsafe or would cause damage to public or private property is also prohibited. 
  • Vehicle or trailer parking is allowed along the parade route after 8:00 AM the day before the parade (Friday, July 17). All existing city parking regulations remain in effect outside of that window of time. Only motor vehicles that are parade entries are allowed in areas designated for parade staging.

The parade will be held rain or shine. However, it may be canceled or postponed due to severe weather. Check this webpage for updates or subscribe to Notify Draper alerts.
