America 250 | City of Draper

Draper City is joining with Utah and other states in celebrating America's Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

We invite Draper residents, businesses, churches, other organizations, and all who would like to participate, to gather and connect at special, American 250 themed events in 2026.

Draper Gives - Service Initiative

In the founding of the United States of America, ordinary people came together in pursuit of a common cause: liberty, equality, and the creation of a government by and for the people. That same spirit lives on when we serve our communities today.

Utah is part of the national America Gives initiative, working to make our 250th anniversary a defining year of service.

Draper residents who complete a minimum of 250 minutes of service (four hours), will receive a certificate and a commemorative America 250 Utah - Draper City pin. Submit the Draper City Volunteer Hours form once you have completed at least 250 minutes of service, and the certificate and pin will be mailed to you.

Draper City will submit the total hours of service received to the America Gives campaign to be added with the total hours of service nationwide.

Walk 250

Join Draper City in walking at least 2,500 steps or similar outdoor exercise equivalent to one mile. Complete and submit our Walk 250 Participant Form. All who complete the minimum 2,500 steps or similar will receive a certificate and a commemorative bracelet in the mail.

Want more of a challenge? Join America 250 Utah's Walk 250 and complete 250 miles of outdoor exercise by July 2026. Those who complete the challenge will have the opportunity to win prizes.
