Audition Masterclass | City of Draper

The Audition Masterclass is a valuable opportunity to get expert feedback and improve your auditions. Sponsored by the Draper Arts Council annually, participants of all ages come prepared to audition, including their attire. Participants then have the chance to perform and receive feedback.

Although people may attend and observe, they will learn more by performing and getting personalized input. It is also great practice to perform in front of others.

Date and Time

The 2026 Audition Masterclass will be held Friday, February 20, at American Preparatory Academy, Campus 3, 431 W. 11915 S., Draper, UT.

Ages 14 and Under: 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM

Adult Class: 7:45 PM to 9:30 PM

Cost and Registration

The class is free but space is limited and you must register.

Audition Information

Please prepare an audition according to the following guidelines:

Acting Audition
For an acting audition, please memorize a short monologue (no longer than one minute) that demonstrates your acting style (e.g., drama, comedy, etc.). Please bring a copy of your monologue to give to the director for mark-up purposes.

Singing Audition
Please learn 32 bars of an audition song that shows off your vocal style and range. Bring the marked sheet music for our piano accompanist (No minus tracks).
