Common Plan Permit - SWPPP Application
SWPPP Application
Projects that require coverage under a UPDES Construction Storm Water Permit must develop a SWPPP.
A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a site-specific document that identifies potential sources of storm water pollution, describes practices to reduce pollutants in storm water discharges, and identifies procedures the operator will implement to comply with the terms and conditions of the construction storm water permit.
Determine Whether Your Project Requires UPDES Construction Storm Water Permit Coverage
Refer to the Residential or Non-Residential flowchart or call us at (801) 576-6331 to help determine whether your project requires a UPDES construction storm water permit, and if so, which type of permit coverage is required.
Developing a SWPPP
A SWPPP must be developed in accordance with the requirements of the project’s specific UPDES construction storm water permit. For example, if a project site is covered under the Construction General Permit (CGP), the SWPPP must comply with all applicable CGP requirements.
SWPPP application packages, providing references to the general documentation necessary for a SWPP submission to Draper City, are available in the SWPP Application section. An EPA guide to developing a SWPPP document is also available in that section.
Submitting a SWPPP
Once completed, email a copy of the SWPPP to stormwaterquality@draperutah.gov for review.
