Council Member Fred Lowry

Fred Lowry has called Draper home since 1997, where he and his wife Jill have enjoyed raising their six children. Fred considers it a great honor to have the opportunity to serve on the Draper City Council.

“The weight of representing all of the citizens of our community will not be forgotten,” says Lowry. “I feel a strong sense of responsibility to make sure everyone in our community is heard.”

If there is one thing Lowry is most concerned about, it is making sure he fully understands each issue and makes the best decisions to benefit Draper City. He wants to anticipate the unintended consequences that can happen when changes and development occur. He has served on the board of a number of insurance industry associations and is currently President of the Canyon's Education Foundation. His time serving on the Draper City Planning Commission from 2009 through 2012 and past Chairman of the Draper Community Development Corporation are additional experiences that have helped him while serving on the council.

Term expires January 2028.
