Draper City is governed by a Mayor and City Council who are elected by the people of the city. The Mayor and City Council act together as the Governing Body. All Governing Body members serve four-year terms. The Governing Body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies.
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. The study meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and the business meeting (public hearings and action items) begin at 7 p.m. A live audio broadcast is available, with the recording posted after the meeting.
