Adopt an Animal

The staff at the Draper City Animal Shelter strive to find each animal that has made its way to the shelter a safe and loving home. Take a look at the animals that are available for adoption. Visitors are welcome to visit the shelter and the animals to see if they are a perfect fit for them and their families.

Frankie

Hi, my name is Frankie. I’m a handsome young man looking for a fun energetic family that I can grow with. I’m a cattle dog mix about 1-2 years old. I have a lot of energy and need a family that can help me get lots of exercise and help me with my manners. I do like to jump when I get excited and can be hard to catch at times because I think everything is a game. I really like kids but may knock them over because I just cant wait to meet them. The shelter is helping me learn basic commands, how to take treats nicely, and how to play fetch. I really like to meet friends but can be a little pushy and in their face. Once we get to know each other I can play chase and wrestle for hours. I’m very curious and enjoying seeing and learning new things. I would make a great adventure buddy.

Raven

Hi my name is Raven. I’m a young handsome guy looking for a home to help me become the best pup I can be. I am very treat-motivated and eager to please. I am very active and would make a great running or adventure partner. I’m very curious and like to get into mischief at times. I would do better with a family that had no other pets and older kids. I am looking for a family that can help me with my manners. I do get excited at times and can be very jumpy. My shelter friends are working with me on this and I have learned how to sit and take treats nicely. I have met a few different dogs while at the shelter who have not been my favorite. I would do best in a home where I could be the only dog and with a family that can help me work on my socialization skills.

Working Cats

Working cats help deter rodents at barns, farms, horse stables, other sustainable locations with outside shelter, or any property sustainable for independent-minded felines. These cats are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Working cat adopters are responsible for providing food and water, shelter from the elements, long-term veterinary care, and must keep the animals contained on their property.
