Primary Election:
Draper City's Municipal Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, as a vote-by-mail election, administered by Salt Lake County.
Primary Election ballots will include only candidates for the two-year city council term. There are not enough candidates for the four-year city council term or mayoral seat to hold a primary election. Those candidates will be included on the ballot for the General Election. Utah County residents in Draper will also have school board candidates on their ballots.
A secure ballot drop box is available in the south parking lot of Draper City Hall for convenient ballot drop-off.
Visit vote.utah.gov for voter registration, candidate information, and to view a sample ballot.
Draper City Hall will serve as an official voting location.
Voters should be aware that, due to new state legislation, vote-by-mail ballots will no longer have a “must be postmarked by” date. Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by Salt Lake County by August 12, 2025, at 8:00 PM for your vote to count.
In addition to being mailed, ballots can be dropped off at a vote center (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Primary Election Day) or a ballot drop box location (through 8:00 PM on August 12).
August 26, 2025: Board of Canvassers certifies primary election results.
