Upcoming Projects – Road, Water, Parking, Trail, and Dog Park Impacts
The following City projects are scheduled:
Bangerter Pkwy Lane Restrictions
Thursday, August 20, and Friday, August 21, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Bangerter Pkwy between 13800 South and 150 East will be reduced to one lane in each direction for removal and replacement of road striping to match the new construction.
Work will also be performed along 13800 South between 300 East and Bangerter Pkwy simultaneously. This work could potentially continue into Saturday night, August 22, depending on a variety of factors.
Scheduled Water Shutdown
A scheduled water shutdown will occur on Monday, August 24, from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting all residents located within the Eagle Crest 3 subdivision along Winged Trace Ct. This shutdown of the transmission line is to allow Condie Construction to complete a water line loop as part of the Suncrest Drive PRV Replacement Project. The contractor will place door hangers at each residence at least 48 hours before the shutdown.
Pioneer Rd – City Hall Parking Closures
The contractor for the Pioneer Road Improvements Project (Black Forest Paving) will begin excavating parking stalls adjacent to City Hall and further east on Monday, August 24. Parking stalls will intermittently be closed as work progresses. It is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. Please plan for alternative parking as needed.
700 West Improvements
Draper City is improving 700 West, and Lyndon Jones Construction will be performing roadway, storm drain, curb, gutter, and sidewalk-related work along the project corridor. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 24, and continue through October.
Expect:
• Lane restrictions and slower traffic
• Short delays entering or leaving driveways
• Temporary sidewalk/pedestrian detours
• Construction equipment, noise, and dust
• Uneven surfaces and changing traffic patterns
Please do the following during the project:
• Slow down and follow all posted signs.
• Keep children and pets away from work areas.
• Avoid parking in active construction zones.
• Allow extra travel time through 700 West.
• Watch for crews, trucks, and equipment.
Resident Access:
We will work to maintain access to homes whenever possible. At times, driveway access may be temporarily interrupted while work is directly in front of a property. Please follow crew directions and use caution around open excavations and fresh concrete.

Dayland Dog Park Closure
Dayland Dog Park will be closed on Thursday, August 27, and Friday, August 28, to allow our parks crews to clean out debris from storms.
Porter Rockwell Trail Closure
Due to the new trail construction at 1300 East and the South Mountain Bridge, the Porter Rockwell Trail will be closed between Sadler Trailhead and Osborne Trailhead, from August 31 to September 11. Please use other trails or detour.

We appreciate your patience as we complete all of these projects.
