Smoky Air in Salt Lake and Utah Counties from Central Utah Fires

Residents in Draper and across Salt Lake and Utah Counties are seeing heavy smoke and ash in the sky. There are no fires currently in Draper or adjacent cities. The air quality is believed to be from strong winds carrying smoke and ash from fires in central Utah into our area. There is also a fire in the Tooele area.

Due to active red flag warnings, we encourage residents to stay watchful, but we wanted to reassure everyone that there is no fire activity in Draper at this time (posted 6/26/26 at 6:00 PM).
