Political paraphernalia of any kind is prohibited within 150 feet of a polling location, including City Hall. This is considered electioneering – attempting to persuade persons to refrain from voting or to vote for or against any candidate or issue. This includes but is not limited to, oral, written, or printed paraphernalia. As such, clothing, signage, hats, banners, etc. are not allowed.

Violations are a violation of Utah Code Section 20A-3a-501 and are Class A misdemeanors, subject to all applicable fines and punishments.

Voters should be aware that due to new state legislation, vote-by-mail ballots will no longer have a “must be postmarked by” date. There are deadlines for the Primary and General Election by which ballots must be received by Salt Lake County - 8:00 PM on August 12 (Primary Election Day) and 8:00 PM on November 4 (General Election Day).

Be sure to mail your ballot in plenty of time to meet the deadline, or use the drop boxes located throughout Salt Lake County, including at Draper City Hall (south parking lot). Ballots can be submitted to drop boxes through 8:00 PM on Election Day.
