Draper City Water Service Rate Increase

Draper City will implement a water rate increase effective July 1, 2024. This increase is for Draper City water customers only, not WaterPro customers. If you are unsure who provides your water service, please visit our Utilities Provider App.

This increase is necessary in response to a 28% increase in costs on a national level since Draper last increased usage rates in 2017. The base rate has not changed since 2008. Also, to comply with safety standards set by the State of Utah, several new employees have been added since then.

The City’s water fund has incurred operational losses over the past few years. This increase is estimated to bring in enough revenue to cover annual operating expenses and provide for infrastructure maintenance.

Please review the tables below for a breakdown of the increase. Included is a change in the base rate from $20.25 to $27.34 and an additional increase based on usage. The first column represents gallons of water used per month. If you are not sure how many gallons of water you use, that information is available on your utility bill.
