Brush Fire July 3 - Fireworks Restrictions Reminder

Reminder: Fireworks restrictions are in place for a large portion of Draper, and fire danger is high. Draper City Fire responded to a brush fire around 1:00 AM on July 3 on Potato Hill. Witnesses stated they saw juveniles in the area with fireworks. Draper PD is investigating. Anyone with information should contact Detective Klett at (801) 826-6419. 

If anyone observes fireworks use in restricted areas, please report immediately to police/fire dispatch at (801) 840-4000. Those using fireworks in restricted areas or an otherwise negligent manner may be cited. If a fire starts, those responsible may be liable for the cost of fighting any fires that occur and any associated criminal charges.
