Turkish Speedwell
Plant Details
Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Scrophulariaceae
Plant Description: Low-growing, slowly spreading perennial groundcover that makes a great low-maintenance lawn alternative. Plant Select winner for 1997. Tiny oval leaves are dark green, and form a dense mat of dark green foliage. Clusters of small, lavender-blue flowers bloom throughout the spring. Tolerant of many soil types, drought, and shade.
Maintenance
Perennial - Evergreen (soft-stemmed plants that keep their leaves and color during winter): remove spent blooms to promote a rebloom later. To avoid winter stress, wait until spring to identify what portions of the plant are still alive and then remove the rest.
