Four Draper City Firefighters returned home on September 7, 2020, after spending weeks battling California wildfires. The crew had deployed on August 22 as part of the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), which allows states to request resources from surrounding states in their time of need. The crew returned to Draper City Fire Station 21 where family and colleagues welcomed them home. Draper City also deployed a second crew to California on September 9, to respond to the state’s request for continued assistance from Utah, who have since safely returned home.
