Overview

Ghost Falls Trail- 1.59 miles, elevation gain/loss: 751/151ft

The Ghost Falls Trail is a multi-use/multi-directional trail. It begins where the Lower Corner Canyon Road and the Gasline trail end. It begins on the north side of the creek and ends at the Ghost Falls Trailhead. This trail can be accessed either from the Rattler Trail or Canyon Hollow Trail.  The Ghost Falls Trail’s namesake is the original featured attraction in Corner Canyon.  Ghost Falls is a 20 ft. high waterfall that flows year round. It is a very popular area for families to hike. The Falls is ¾ of a mile from the Ghost Falls Trailhead or the Gasline Junction. The entire trail is within the watershed area so no dogs or horses and please stay out of the water.  CAUTION: there is plenty of Poison Ivy around the falls and streams.

The upper portion of the trail from the Ghost Falls Trailhead winds through large Oak and Maple Forest. Seven springs are found on this south-facing hillside creating an area of dense vegetation and the occasional water crossing. Traveling west from Ghost Falls, the trail transitions from a clay based flow like trail to a semi- technical rocky ride that follows the rich Corner Canyon Creek Corridor, where Narrow Leaf Cottonwood, Dogwood and Willow reside.   The trail then climbs above the creek on the canyons north slope of decomposing granite to eventually end at the Upper Diversion on the Lower Corner Canyon Road.
