Evil Scientist Class - Winter 2024

What:

An exciting after-school science class. Every week on Monday students participate in fun, hands-on experiments. 

Lab Includes:  

Stellar Space Science: In this class, students will perform hands-on experiments as they explore the planets, investigate conditions in space, and learn some real rocket science by designing, building, and launching their own air-powered rockets.

Experiments include:

  • Exploding Fireball Balloons (teacher demo)
  • Control Mars Rover Robots
  • Moon Landing Egg Drop
  • Dry Ice Fog Experiments

Who: 

Boys and girls in grades Kindergarten - 6 grade (2023/2024 school year)

When: 

Mondays beginning February 5th for 6 weeks 

Dates include:

February 5, 12, and 26. March 4, 11, and 18. There will be no class on February 19.

Time: 

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM and 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM 

Where: 

Draper Parks and Recreation Office (12354 S 800 E. Enter through the back door)

Cost: 

$85 per class

Registration: 

Registration will be open from November 20 through February 2.

Online registration is available. Registration may also be done in person at the Draper Parks & Recreation Office (12354 S 800 E)

Program Registration Refund Policy:

  • A $10.00 bookkeeping fee is non-refundable for each program/registration.
  • Refund requests made before the registration period/deadline has ended will receive a full refund minus the $10.00 bookkeeping fee.
  • After the registration period/deadline has ended, a refund of 50% of the program fee will be offered.
  • No refunds will be offered once the program has started, beginning with the first class, first lesson, coaches meeting, etc.
